Mr. Allen:
During our conversation of
December 27, I advised you that although your claims have no merit and are
subject to a variety of attacks, to avoid the expense of a lawsuit, Nautilus
was willing to settle the claim for $2,000. You responded by demanding
$250,000. It appears that the parties have drastically different
expectations and evaluations of this dispute. If your demands are truly
in the neighborhood of $250,000, any reasonable counter by Nautilus would
likely be insulting to you. Thus, it makes no sense to have further
negotiations.
If, however, you are
willing to discuss a settlement in the range of what was previously proposed,
please give me a call.
